Garage door not opening?
Question by Reens: Garage door not opening?
Could it be a dead battery? Even the touch pad isn’t lighting up and I was wondering if I tripped a breaker. I went downstairs and flipped it, but still nothing happened. A couple months before, my remotes stopped working too. Unrelated? Any ideas?

On top of the touchpad there might be an on/off switch. You might have accidentally bumped it off.

Definitely sounds like it’s not getting juice; is it direct-wired in, or does the motor unit have an outlet plug? If that’s the case, pull the plug and see if the outlet’s good. If not, get up there with a multimeter and see if the opener is getting power.
Are you sure you flipped the breaker for the opener? Is your garage damp? How old is the unit? If it has a built-in light, does the light come on? Is the unit wired to a switch somewhere?
